To monitor environmental impacts of the operation of the Wholesale Fish Market, an Environmental Management Committee (EMC) including representatives from the market management, market users and the nearby residents was set up before the commencement of operation of the Project to closely supervise the operation of the Wholesale Fish Market. The EMC shall advise on and monitor the effectiveness of the proposed mitigation measures and the environmental performance of the Wholesale Fish Market according to the EIA Report (Register No.: AEIAR – 070/2003) and the Environmental Permit, and to follow-up on environmental complaints about the operation of the Wholesale Fish Market.
